"Murphs': It's all about us."
Greetings all and welcome! It's been a long wait, a few false starts, and a major set back or two, but it's time to let the new store fly! If you’d like some tips for using our site, you can find them here.
As I write this late at night, all kinds of thoughts wander through the gray matter. It's hard to believe that this project started over two years ago. It was on and off for months, ups and downs; old store good enough…new store needed, back and forth.
When we started, our online presence was pretty much a simple home page, with an email address to contact us for products. It's a little more involved than that now! Being a Mom and Pop operation we have had help from many people to make it all come together. It's a work in progress, and always will be.
It comes down to this:
"Murphs': It's all about us." Yep, It's all about us here at Murphs'. “Us” is a pretty big crowd these days. It includes myself and my wife, a few innovators and thinkers, craftsmen, Club members of the Concours Owners Group, the ZXROA, distributors of nationally known products, and a great many customers.
Murphs' is a business built on the pure grounds of old fashioned capitalism. Not the modern corporate version of capitalism that consists of under-funded pensions, or next-quarter profits, but of long-term relationships, based on filling the mutual needs and best interests of all concerned.
This chain runs from suppliers to customers. While profit keeps the doors open and the lights on, the satisfaction of pleasing a customer brings the wealth of a good night's sleep. Most people use motorcycles as a recreational vehicle, for nothing more than pure pleasure. It is my goal to make your dealings with my company an extension of the motorcycling experience, something done to bring about happiness.
It was with some reservation that I wrote this. Companies spend many dollars to say the right things, present the best image, do whatever it takes to get your money. In an age where Dilbert can make light of ISO certification and 5S programs, and people shake their heads in disbelief at what their companies state as their "Corporate Values", how do you present yourself as "real" and be believed? You got me.
So in my humble Kentucky way I have taken this approach. You have my word that I will do my best to serve you and deliver the best products at a fair price. I will treat your order as if it was my own. At the end of the day I wish to under sell and over deliver, to be rewarded with profit and a good night's sleep.
From customer, to innovator, to distributor, if you share our values, you are welcome to be one of "us".
We are here to serve you. We have a large selection of parts and accessories for the Kawasaki Concours rider, as you will see. We will be continually expanding our product offerings in this category as well as many others.
We value your input and feedback on any and all aspects of our site and products. It is our intention to continue to be the standard by which customer service and satisfaction is measured. Drop me a line at murph@murpskits.com with your comments. We are always a phone call away if you can't get things worked out online.
All the best,
Gary and Patty Murphy Murphskits LLC
